The Wards Project is creating and supporting teams of constituents in each of Toronto’s 25 wards. Ward teams work to ensure the voices of concerned residents are heard, that our city is prepared for the impacts of a changing climate and does its part in mitigating & adapting for the crisis. By creating positive and sustainable relationships with councillors and staff, we are advocating for full funding and implementation of the City’s climate action plan: TransformTO.
TransformTO provides a road map for Toronto to meet climate goals through various mitigation and adaptation measures. Its implementation will also improve the standard of living across each of our diverse neighbourhoods. By addressing issues from affordable public transportation, increased efficiency in buildings, improved green space, flooding and better waste management, TransformTO can help us build a Toronto where we all thrive.
