Hundreds of you signed our petition campaign to press the government for consultation on Bill 4, the Cap and Trade Cancellation Act. Thanks to public pressure and the legal work of Greenpeace and EcoJustice the government has just backed down on that and opened a period of consultation on Bill 4.
The deadline for comment is October 11th and ClimateFast is holding a gathering on October 3rd, 6:30 pm at 60 Lowther. Let’s learn about the bill and enter our comments in the consultation. Together we can create a meaningful climate action plan (kids 6 and up are welcome).
The event is co-sponsored with Greenpeace, and Keith Stewart of Greenpeace will be present to guide discussion on what is needed in a climate action plan.
