Saturday, Sept 16: Rally - 11am; March - 12pm
Queen’s Park, Toronto

If you’d like to volunteer with ClimateFast to do tabling, take petitions, hand out postcards for the Ralph Torrie webinar (details below), or carry the banner - please come early to the Climate Commons!  Look for the red and white tents.  We’ll be starting there at 10 am.

This event will include speakers, music, a Climate Commons Area for connecting with local climate justice and environmental groups, a Kids & Family Area, and more. ASL interpretation and an accessibility seating area will be provided. More details can be found at the Facebook Event link and on the Website, including maps of the rally area and planned route.

To join the climate contingent of the Migrant Justice rally: Meet at 1:45pm at Frank Stollery park (1 block north on Yonge at Davenport)

We are in the midst of an inequality crisis, with migrants who grow the food, care for the sick, build the homes, and keep us going bearing some of the heaviest burden. Lack of permanent resident status leaves them without basic rights and protections; yet without them, society would grind to a halt. On September 17, 2023, the day before Parliament returns, let’s unite in massive cross-country actions calling for permanent resident status for all.

Coordinated by CCL, OCEC, OCAA and ClimateFast, this day of lobbying will address Ontario's energy future with a specific focus on fighting the planned expansion of gas plants in Ontario. Lobbying can be very effective and the more ridings we represent that day, the better. This action will involve contacting your MPP to invite them to meet with you at the breakfast, or to arrange another time to meet.
